Today was a good day.
Have you ever played Grand Theft Auto San Andreas? Among many, many fine tracks, there is a great track that I hear when I'm on song: It Was a Good Day, by Ice Cube (and, err, be careful listening if you're easily offended).
That was me today.
I met with a potentially significant customer. I refined the business model. And the Garbologie brand was unveiled.
The Great Reveal
First, to the beautiful. The brand work done by +Clare S. Properjohn and her team at +The Creative Arts House is truly stunning. Let me show you some of the work, and I defy you not to love it.

So thank you so much to the incredible Lani, Clare and everybody else at The Creative Arts House. Somehow they have managed to encapsulate our vision, but in a way that we never expected. Make sure you look them up.
The Business
I met today with a blast and spray company about the supply of glass powder. He is keen. We can work together.
Better than that. I think we get each other. We both want to change things, do things better, grab the world by the throat and shake it. No need for convincing there.
The quantities he can sell are significant. The price I can supply it for means we both make good money. We can work together to build a stronger market for glass in blast media.
That greater understanding of the markets has helped me to establish a really strong business case.
The situation with glass in Perth is dire. After discussions with a recycling plant operator, I believe that I can get a glass plant co-located with an existing recycling plant. That secures feedstock in a win-win, and hopefully reduces the rent too.
I have enough market leads to be confident that I can move product. The price is right, the product good.
The next step for me is to create an investor presentation to secure the funding required. That funding is not insignificant, but I believe the story is amazing. The presentation will be on 22 February 2013.
And here's an amazing synchronicity. The Australian Packaging Covenant is providing a funding round for 2013. It opens for submissions on Monday. Closes on 22 March 2013. A key target area is glass.
Quite a day
So, in all, it has been quite a day.
Quite a day.
A day where I've been in the zone all day long, even when relaxing at home. And I guess that's what happens when you do what you love and you believe in it with such absolute clarity. With that, I close out with a quotation that was shared with me today on Google+ by +Grizwald Grim from Terence McKenna:
Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all those teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it's a feather bed.
Such an amazing pleasure to work with you on this Adam. Here's to shamanic dances and a whole lotta a magic! Congratulations on bringing your vision to life. Clare, and TCAH team.
